Sagging Vagina? Try These Yoga Poses

Are you looking to reconnect with your pre-child bearing self and revitalize your feminine energy? Believe it or not, Asana (what we call "pose" or "posture" in yoga) can help. In this quick read, we'll explore a selection of yoga poses specifically designed to help improve the tone and strength of your pelvic floor muscles, ultimately enhancing your overall well-being.

What Causes Sagging Vagina?

Before we delve into the yoga poses, it's essential to understand what causes a sagging vagina. Factors such as childbirth, aging, and hormonal changes can contribute to a loss of muscle tone in the pelvic area, leading to issues like urinary incontinence and decreased sexual satisfaction.

The Power of Yoga:

Yoga is not just a physical practice; it is a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. By incorporating specific yoga poses into your daily routine, you can strengthen the muscles in your pelvic floor, improve circulation to the area, and enhance your overall sense of well-being.

"But wait!  Can't I just do Kegels?" you may be asking.

Kegels are great.  But practicing certain poses requires a "pulling" or "zipping" up of your pelvic floor, and can be much more effective than simple Kegel squeezing.

Yoga Poses You Can Try

Bridge Pose
Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana): This pose helps strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, improve flexibility in the hips, and stimulate the reproductive organs.
Goddess Pose
Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana): By opening the hips and engaging the pelvic floor, this pose can help tone the muscles in the vaginal area.
Bound angle pose
Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana): Also known as Butterfly Pose, this posture can help improve flexibility in the hips and groin area, promoting better circulation to the pelvic region.
Crane Pose
Crane Pose (Bakasana): any arm balance, really, requires that real "zipping up" of your pelvic floor to remain balanced, but generally Crane pose is what we start with as our intro in arm balances.
Pendant Pose
Pendant Pose (Lolasana): The "lol" has never been lost on me when practicing Lolasana. It's a difficult pose that uses a lot of full body strength. But difficult does not mean you avoid it!  You give it a go and know that the journey is the important part, not nailing a pose.

Conclusion

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment by incorporating these yoga poses into your daily practice. By nurturing your pelvic floor muscles and embracing your feminine energy, you can experience a renewed sense of vitality and confidence.
